The Infiniti G37 – A 10 Best Winner

Each year Car and Driver does a 10 of the Best Cars list. Cars are judged on three points, the first being performance and functionality, second emotional engagement, and finally pricing and versatility. All cars that are new or significantly redesigned are eligible for the 10Best. If a car consistently impresses year after year it is possible to remain on the list indefinitely, even without updates. As a second runner up to BMW, Infiniti has always been a great competitor for the top spot in entry-level luxury sports sedans and coupes, but has never ruled this class.

Infiniti has been a winner for the 10 Best Cars in 2003, 2004, 2007, and now a 2009 winner for the G. The new Infiniti G37 has an improved 3.7L V6 engine with 328hp which is speculated to be the large facet in winning the title for ’09. The new engine has a reported increase off 22hp over its 3.5L predecessor. Not only was more muscle added to the G but other features underwent refinement like in the V6, and overall feel of the 6-speed manual transmission.

New for the 2009 model year is the Infiniti G37 Convertible. This car represents only the second convertible ever produced by Infiniti and one of the most sought after cars of the year!

New 2009 Infiniti FX50 – Holy mother Of @#$%!

The new “luxury” 2009 Infiniti FX50 is billed as a luxury SUV but it is much much more than that! Sure the yuppies will buy this car. But it is those of us who are informed that really appreciate this MONSTER. These 3 little digits tell the whole story: 390. That is the amount of ponies raging under the hood! Almost 400hp in a luxury soccer mom yuppie suv, it’s not fair…I want one. Not only is the engine a beat…but this SUV is AWD. So controlling this auto is no problem. And speaking of performance this puppy is loaded. Continuous dampening Suspension, Intelligent All Wheel Drive, and Solid Magnesium Paddle Shifters….I just wet myself! Maybe the best part is the 21-Inch Enkei Rims and high performance Tires.
